This masterplan proposal for Thrive Senior Living develops a large site along the vivacious Bayonne, New Jersey waterfront into a unique elder care community. Imagined within the principles of walkable communities, this series of midrise buildings are connected by a series of pedestrian walkways and outdoor spaces which bolster quality of life while activating residents’ experience of the full site. This design fully capitalizes on the site’s extraordinary waterfront view as well as its semi-public integration with the surrounding city.
